I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone
for taking time out of their busy schedules to make our SC State Meeting
a memorable occasion. It was a pleasure for us all to be together
once again. The congregational singing and special music were
refreshing and uplifting. Through melody our hearts were prepared
to listen to our guest speaker, Danita High, WNAC Executive Secretary – Treasurer. She
communicated well the burden of her heart for women of all ages from
the theme “He Leadeth Me” using John 10:1-5 as her foundational
scriptures. Our hearts were touched and encouraged as she challenged
the women of South Carolina to continue steadfast in following God’s
leading in a time of uncertain circumstances.
The WNAC
National Project 20/20/20 was adopted as our new state project.
The project 20/20/20 is to help support our denominational seminary in
Chame, Panama; assist with the building costs of construction for our
International Missions work in Villalba, Spain; and the WNAC Endowment
Fund – this money will be put into an investment account to enable
the WNAC to use earnings for operational expenses with a vision for the
future.
I would
like to personally thank the High Point Free Will Baptist WAC and their gracious
congregation for the wonderful meal and accommodations they provided in hosting
our SC State Meeting.
The 2010
SC State Meeting will be held at Beulah Free Will Baptist Church in Pamplico
on March 20th.
I hope you
are making plans now to attend the SC WAC State Retreat at White Oak Conference
Center, October 2nd & 3rd. Our theme this year is “Esther’s
Closet” and we would like for everyone to come dressed as a “Queen” for
a time of royal fun on Friday evening!! Look for more details to come
in the “Informer” or on our SCWAC website.
